These fuckers are awesome! Best part is almost every YFP gas station in Argentina serves them up. If they don’t personally make it you can pull the cold ham and cheese on white bread out of the fridge by the drinks and they will toast it for you. I am often a sucker for these while stopping to gas up since I discovered them. Simple but very tasty and just enough to get you fueled up physically to match the full tank on the bike.
Honestly it just a basic grilled cheese sammy but I think the ticket is the white bread that is used. It’s a very think and light bread. After its toasted it makes for such a great combo with the melted cheese and ham. All that is in the sammy is one single slice of white cheese and one single slice of ham. Those combined with the wonderful white bread make for an amazing crunchy and gooey combo. Back in the states, Reno in particular, there is a gourmet grilled cheese food truck. They make great sammys, nothing bad to say about them, but they often use a lot of different cheeses and or additions/ingredients. I think that’s what I love about this Argentinian stable horse, it’s simple and easy.
Next time you are gassing up and need a little heated snack grab on of these fuckers, you wont be disappointed.
